In Gothenburg we are enjoying the last glimpse of summer this week with temperatures rising over 20 degrees. But we all know that boot season is calling.
Presented for you this week are two store favorites. Both with functional characteristics suitable for a rough autumn winter season but with a look that makes the boots easily worn in more dressed up occasions. These beauties are made by the fantastic shoemakers of Crockett & Jones in Northampton, the shoe capital of England. Shoes have been made in the factory on Perry Street since 1879. More than ever are Crockett & Jones top of their game. The last couple of years rising in popularity and making more updated more often than ever and to this current day the business still is owned and managed by the founding family.
All the shoes made by Crockett & Jones are Goodyear welted and made in the finest calf leather. The Galway 2 is an apron fronted derby boot made in a dark brown country calf leather and the Islay is a full brogue derby boot made in a dark brown country grain calf leather. The lasts are also two of our most appreciated. The Galway 2 is made on the 325 last, a neater last with a medium round toe. The Isley is made on the 365 last, that is slightly rounder and more spacious. The two boots are made with a Dainite rubber sole and powered with the storm welt for extra water resistance.
Perfect for upcoming season!
